1. Set-Up
A step-by-step process that easily guides you through setting up the app with your child's name, you can also choose a voice and the rate of speech that works best for your child. We will be creating a future version in Spanish, as well. The app is ready to go 'out of the box'; you can begin to teach your child how to communicate using the Modeling Mode. If you would rather customize the app for your child before introducing it to them, this option is available with the Customize Mode.
2. Modeling Mode
This function allows a parent or clinician to model how to use the app as it is designed to be used. In later versions, analytics will be used to help parents and clinicians set goals and measure a child's progress toward increasing initiations, turns in conversations, and commenting, to name a few. While the app is in the Modeling Mode, data will not be collected for the analytics.
3. Initiate
This mode allows you to customize the app with personal photos and text. You can add and delete cards and folders, making the app almost infinitely customizable! This kind of customization will allow your child or client to quickly recognize familiar people and favorite foods, toys, and activities.
